Due to the success of the Bergamont 120mm travel Contrail series we decided to add an extra lower priced model to the line up. Despite being the cheapest in the range its story is no less impressive. It sports the same revised shorter swing arm for lower frame weight as the other Contrails. The refined head tube angle provides great high speed stability downhill and improved fork sensitivity especially on harsh square edged bumps. AVAILABLE IN X-LARGE.

Like many bikes in the 2010 Bergamont range the Platoon 8.0 has been the target of revised geometry. The headtube angle is slacker at 70 degrees to improve handling. With rough terrain in mind top tube lengths have been lengthened slightly to allow a rider to fit on the smallest frame practical. A Shimano XT equipped hardtail has been the benchmark level of mountain bikes for over 20 years. This most modern incarnation is ready to provide miles of reliable riding for the die hard enthusiast. The Stallion frame features lightweight aluminium tubing with strong 3D forged dropouts. Specialist fork manufacturer Suntour has provided hydraulic front suspension with lockout lever.
